Have you ever noticed some signs are much brighter at night than others?
Brightness could be a factor of several things:
1. Daylight Lamps vs. Cool White lamps. More and more of today's signs are built using daylight spectrum lamps instead of cool white lamps. Daylight or DA lamps display a broader spectrum of light and there fore, appear brighter at night. Cool white lamps have a tungsten tinge which makes them appear beige or light brown in comparison to daylights. Ask your sign company to change out your lamps to daylights - the cost is not significant and you'll be shocked at the difference.
2. Sign faces tend to fade or get color damaged over time. Regardless of how bright your lamps are, it's possible that your sign face has simply faded or has been damaged by the sun. This will also cause your sign to appear less bright. Have your sign service company quote new faces which will give your sign a great facelift.
3. Algae buildup. After several years signs often develop algae growth on the inside of the faces. That growth restricts the light that shines from inside the sign. Have your sign service company clean the faces on...

WCS of Bradenton, FL recently completed the installation of an 18' high main ID sign with ClearView LED message center for the Fire College of Florida in Ocala, Marion County, Florida. The job was awarded to WCS after a lengthy bid process that evaluated expertise, experience and price. The new LED message center ties into the College's main network via 500 feet of fiber optic cable that was provided by WCS along with the transceivers.
