Pixel Pitch simply put is the space between the center of one LED to the Center of the adjacent LED.
A smaller pixel pitch will have a higher resolution image and the images displayed will be much sharper and vibrant. Pixel pitch is one of the most important factors in the quality of an EMCs image.
West Coast Signs offers a much higher pixel pitch than the competition. Pixel Pitch is essentially the size of these four pixel modules. Older signs have much larger pixels. You can almost literally see each pixel from the road. They don’t make for very good graphics. Therefore an decrease in Pixel Pitch from let’s say 16 to 14 will result in 30% more clarity. Given our volume and the pricing we are able to achieve we can offer a higher resolution (lower pixel pitch) for the less than our competition
Another important factor in the effectiveness of an LED sign is the viewing angle. Many LED signs are very bright but only when viewed within a 30 degree angle of the sign. A top quality LED sign will have a bright and sharp image even if viewed from as much as 140 degrees from the LED sign.
